R. S. Thakur
Chairman Emeritus
Mr. Thakur is responsible for corporate planning and overall operations of the company. He established Shyama Power in 1979 in North-East India and has grown it many folds since then. He is credited with establishing Shyama Power as one of the few companies that can undertake projects in the hardest terrains of India like the North-Eastern States. He has 47 years experience in management and operations of companies in power, steel and software industries. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Bank of Baroda for 3 years. Bank of Baroda is one of the largest banks in India.
Binod Thakur
Managing Director
Mr. Binod is responsible for overall Project Management, Financing and Human Resources for the company. He coordinates various financial institutions and banks to manage company’s finances. He has more than 24 years of experience in running companies in Power and Software Sector. He has helped Shyama Power grow at more than 100% rate for the past 5 years. He also manages Shyama Power’s software subsidiary i.e. Shyamasoft. He orchestrated the acquisition of Kaizer Software Solutions into Shyamasoft and runs this business unit for Shyama Power.
Santosh Thakur
Director
Mr. Santosh is responsible for Business Development, Contracts and Operations of the Company. He is an alumnus of Claremont Graduate University of California, USA. After his MBA he worked in a leading Internet Service Provider in California and developed their business in Southern California. After 4 years he returned to India to work with Shyama Power.
A. K. Chamoli
ED Contracts & Tendering
Mr. Chamoli joined the company in 1996 and is responsible for contracts and tendering for the company. He has over 27 years of experience in contracts, procurement, tendering and execution of orders. Before joining Shyama Power, he worked for 5 years with Birla-GTM Entrepose Limited.
R.C. Sharma
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. R.C. Sharma is responsible for look after Finance & Part of commercial activities, Liaison work with various Department's, FI's/Banks. Before Joining Shyama power, he worked as a Chief Manager of a pear Nationalized Bank, having over 40 years of experience in Credit, monitoring, Forex and Branch Banking Operations.
Amalendu Paul
GM (Project & Commercial).
Mr. Amalendu Paul joined the company in 1997 and has over 26 years of experience in the Project and Commercial field. He is responsible for handling commercial issues related to projects, managing insurance work, and overseeing all types of liaising tasks.
Robin Kumar Sarkar
Executive Director Project
Mr. Sarkar is responsible for overall Project activities of the company. He has experience of more than 42 years in design, engineering & project execution in power sector. Before joining Shyama Power, he worked as ED in Powergrid and Director (Project) in NETC & TPGL ( a JV company of Powergrid). He has rich experience of working with state electricity board and NTPC.
Shushant Kumar
GM Finance
Ensuring effective co-ordination with auditors, various financial heads, and compilation of Action Taken Reports. Monitor Tax compliances like TDS Payments, Returns, PF/ Prof. Tax payments, GST payments and returns.
N.k Sharma
Director (Projects)
Mr Sharma is responsible for timely execution of projects of BSPTCL going in Bihar. He has vast experience of power projects from concept to commissioning.He has work experience from 11KV to 765 voltage level in substation as well as transmission lines.Serving 35 years in Power Grid after superannuation as ED, he has associated with Shyama Power

I have been a dedicated member of the Shyama Power team since March 2016, contributing my skills and expertise in the field of Civil Engineering. With a solid educational background in B.Tech Civil Engineering, I have accumulated a wealth of experience over my impressive career spanning 26+ years. My professional journey has been deeply rooted in the realm of Transmission & Substation Projects, where I have honed my skills and built a robust foundation of knowledge. With an extensive 23+ years dedicated to these specialized projects, I have become adept at navigating the complexities and challenges inherent in the realm of power transmission and substation infrastructure.
